The Fullerton School Board of Trustees gets mail. Will they read it?

Here is a  letter to The F.S.D. from a group of physicians: mail-attachment… (2)

You know just because the classroom microwave emissions are legal doesn’t mean that they are safe for our children.

The Fullerton School District Board of Trustees needs to stop hiding behind the outdated FCC guidelines that were based on thermal exposures established decades ago on marine infantry soldier type mannequins when non thermal dangers are an entirely different threat that we worry is potentially facing the children.

I have been reading this website for more than a month. This is how I would expect a publicly-elected school board to treat this WiFi in the schools issue.

There are two sides to the issue, the pro-wifi side says the emissions are within the legal guidelines, tech industry assuring us it is “OK”, and has thermal test research to say it is “OK”.

The pro-wired technology side says that the emission levels need to be updated because there is ample evidence and research that says that wifi in the schools is harmful. Here are some of the Ph.D.s, M.D.s, and scientists that have stepped up and articulated why wifi in the school is harmful: http://www.wifiinschools.com/lausd-testimony.html
The researcher’s message is very clear: don’t use wifi in the schools. The thermal impact is not a issue here, it is the EMF radiation that is the issue. Nothing from the other side talks about non thermal effects of EMF radiation. The author here adds another cavaeat, EMF interactions with metals. Additionally, there are 29 scientists and researchers from around the globe that have researched EMF and have compiled the BioInitiative 2012 report: http://www.bioinitiative.org/
And, if you were to do a search on EMF you would find not only a substantive amount of videos, but websites and organizations, that are talking about the harms of EMF radiation. I was shocked by all the information.

So, at the very least, I would expect the school board members to be looking at both sides of the argument. I will tell you that even if I personally thought the pro-wired technology side was wrong, I would know that it is my obligation to do what is right for the children’s health. The LEAST CONSERVATIVE position would be to err on the side of caution and opt for wired technologies.

It astounds me that FSD takes the riskiest path with the children.

Thank you for your post. I agree with you that there is ample evidence that should warrant a precautionary approach. So far we have received no indication of such. Would you please contact me at info@thefullertoninformer.com? Thank you.

Joe, Has FSD school board member Chris Thompson publicly addressed the concerns about the wifi? Has he responded to you or the public about the dangers that you have made available to the board? What has his level of involvement been?

Chris and I have spoken and his belief at this point is that WiFi is safe. He has not made any public statement that I am aware of on this issue and certainly not on this blog.

Unless you have a highly technical background to evaluate the safety, or seek the expertise of those who do, how could you begin to see it as “safe?”. How do you arrive at the conclusion that WiFi in schools is not harmful?

You would think that FSD has no alternative but to use wifi, but that is not the case. They can use safer, more reliable wired technology.
All this risk to the children and teachers, for what?

The district has fiber optic connectivity at most if not all locations. The choice to go wireless is one of convenience and nothing else. i believe that it is misguided. Hard wiring the devices may be a bit inconvenient but to not hardwire is not worth the risk to the children for the sake of convenience. Lap tops with keyboards and larger screens and ethernet connections are the way to go.

So everything can stay status quo, except the children’s and teacher’s health.

The potential dangers to the children’s health by exposure to these Wifi systems has been clearly presented in the information contained in the links on this blog as well as the expert testimony letters from the LAUSD battle over this very issue. I personally feel that in the scope of their duties as administrators and board members, at the very least, I feel that it should be incumbent upon them to read the materials, defer it to an expert if it is over their heads and publicly address the concerns as well as respond to me in writing. I have not had any written response from the FSD regarding the safety concerns posed by the highly credentialed scientists and studies since an email on 3-5-13 from an FSD administrator with 10 links to, what amounted to in my opinion, pro WiFi studies, some being industry funded. To provide the other side of this story is why this blog was launched as I felt that this issue was not going anywhere based on the response I received.

Thank you for your post. I believe that is probably exactly what the administrations all the way up the chain are probably saying about The Fullerton Informer.

It is not about us, it is about millions of children who don’t have a choice and whose parents don’t have a clue. The real troublemakers if you ask me are those that have chosen to expose the children to unprecedented levels of microwave radiation in the classrooms instead of wiring the computers. Education has created scientists that went to the moon and put probes on Pluto without these wireless classrooms and these tablets. The departure from what I perceive as a safe three dimensional learning environment is at their behest and in my opinion, is truly a tragedy.
